Usually I like to start with the beginning of the wedding story. But this time I want to tell you the story backwards like in Memento. Joy and Thibaud travelled to Switzerland to celebrate their wedding. Let me tell you the story of their wedding from the back, where I documented their after-wedding session as wedding photographer.
Both of them were still exhausted from the wedding in Fribourg on Saturday, but Joy and Thibaud didn’t miss the chance to spend a whole day with me in the Swiss mountains. As a wedding photographer I love such days: perfect weather, a motivated couple and an incredible scenery in front of us. From Interlaken, we drove along the Lake of Thun deep into the Bernese Oberland. Past Blausee, Kandersteg and through the Lötschberg tunnel into the Valais. For me this is a highlight every time I reach the Valais. Also, the weather has already changed. At our last stop in the Bernese Oberland the rain started and as soon as we left the Lötschberg tunnel the sun was shining again. For Joy and Thibaud it felt like an elopement in Switzerland, even though they got married two days before in Fribourg. Our last stop was in Villeneuve on Lake Geneva. Unfortunately a much too little visited station of mine and what a magical place. We could just catch the last rays of sunshine before it disappeared behind the horizon.
Joy and Thibaud started this huge Swiss tour two days after their wedding in Fribourg. I am so grateful that they choose me to document their trip and wedding in Switzerland. I was so happy to show them some of my favourite places in Switzerland. Therefore: Thank you both very much for letting me be your wedding photographer and to capture your story!
